Dodge’s 100th Anniversary Celebrated with Focus on the Viper

As the year slowly winds down, Dodge is preparing to celebrate its 100th year in production with a concentrated focus on one of its classics: the Dodge Viper. Dodge began making automobiles in 1915, making this upcoming January Dodge’s 100th anniversary. The company has reportedly already celebrated last month with a huge party that featured Mötley Crüe, and with the festivities being completed, they’re ready to spotlight the Viper. Dodge Viper Is the Least-Ticketed Car

If you just Googled, “what is the least-ticketed car” because you keep getting speeding tickets, it might be time to admit you have a problem and step on the brakes. Because, believe it or not, the least ticketed popular car is actually the super-powered Dodge Viper, which surely won’t help you out with your speeding problem. According to a survey of 526 past and current vehicles from Insurance.com, only 5.3 percent of Viper owners have received tickets for moving violations. Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey in Dallas

Carmakers are known for putting together events to create a sense of community among car owners.  For some people, it couldn’t get any better than combining a car show with a rock-n-roll concert.  Owners of the Dodge Viper, Charger, and Challenger (past and present models included) will get the opportunity to experience just that on November 1st in Dallas, Texas for the Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey event. Dodge to Bring 2015 Viper SRT Convertible to Market Next Year

Chrysler’s experiment with making SRT its own brand might be over, but don’t worry, that doesn’t mean the Viper is going anywhere. In fact, Chrysler simply returned it to the Dodge brand, making it the Dodge Viper SRT. Now, they also have a plan to make a 2015 Viper SRT convertible, which should hit the market sometime in the middle of next year. Dodge officially celebrated its 100th anniversary back on July 1, which means the brand is now firmly entrenched in its centennial year. The special year is certainly off to a great start, especially now that the manufacturer has consolidated with the SRT brand.
