The Dodge Challenger Trans-Am Makes a Comeback

Here at Withnell Dodge, we couldn’t be more excited to see Dodge unveil a new Trans-Am at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. There’s no word yet if Dodge plans to put this model into production, but trust us when we say you muscle car lovers will go crazy when you see it.

A lime-green exterior complimented with black is perfect for this throwback model. According to Top Gear, the Dodge Challenger Trans-Am features a naturally aspirated 458-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8. You might be a little disappointed that’s considerably less than the 707 horsepower Hellcat, but the Trans-Am promises to make up the difference with other features.

“If you’re a fan of Seventies muscle cars, you may be familiar with the Dodge Challenger Trans-Am, a legendary homologation special of the day. If you’re too young to remember pony-car racing pre-history, fear not: Dodge has revealed a modern day interpretation,” said Rowan Horncastle of Top Gear.

The Trans-Am also featured considerable weight reduction, Brembo brakes, a Mopar induction system, and new exhaust. Besides being gorgeous to look at, this potential new model is bound to cause a stir at the race track.
