The Dodge Durango and Grand Caravan received top honors from Consumers Digest, having been named automotive “Best Buys” for the 2015 model year in the full-size SUV and minivan categories, respectively.
Being named Consumers Digest best buys is an indication of delivering the most value for the money within each segment. The magazine determines value by taking price, ownership costs, comfort, performance, utility, and other factors into account. The editors then drive those with scores high enough to be contenders, evaluating numerous vehicle characteristics including acceleration, fuel economy, fit and finish, styling, interior ergonomics, and ride quality.
As America’s most affordable minivan, it’s no wonder the Dodge Grand Caravan stood out in its segment, in addition to its industry-exclusive Super Stow ‘n Go seating system and more than 55 safety, security, and technology features.
The Dodge Durango, meanwhile, remains one of our favorites at Withnell Dodge—and it seems its eight-speed automatic, award-winning Pentastar V6, and impressive levels of sophistication also appealed to the editors at Consumers Digest.
