In order to celebrate the brand’s 100 year anniversary, Dodge has unveiled the all-new 2015 Dodge Charger, which also functions as an homage to the 1969 Charger. Trust us here at Withnell Dodge when we say it’s the best muscle car we’ve seen in a long time.
In order to stick to its roots, the 2015 Charger engine is incredible. The 5.7-liter V-8 engine featured in the R/T model generates 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Paired with Variable Valve Timing and are a new TorqueFlite® eight-speed transmission, all other drivers will see is a blur.
Car and Driver was enthralled with the new Charger, stating, “When the 2015 Charger lands on showroom floors near the end of the year, it’ll represent just how far the automotive industry has come since Dodge’s beginnings 100 years ago. And while we’re appreciative of such progress, it’s heartwarming to know that some things, like the Charger’s bad-boy attitude, never change.”
The smaller 2015 Charger engine, a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower, is also notable due to the fact it gets 31 highway mpg. Dodge is offering customers an array of options so they can choose what’s best for them.
