Following the success of the Dodge Demon, the brand recently announced the 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. The Redeye is a supercharged, performance-oriented model. The new model can do zero to 60 in just 3.4 seconds, with a quarter-mile time of 10.8 seconds. In other words, the Redeye is one fast car.
While the Redeye doesn’t quite have the Demon’s whopping 840 horsepower, it still generates an impressive 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque thanks to a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI high-output V8. According to The News Wheel, the tuned performance model has a sculpted twin-snorkel hood to complement the powerful new engine under the hood, adding aesthetic appeal while also improving airflow.
What else is new about the Redeye? In addition to a tuned powertrain and a dual-snorkel hood, the Redeye has a high-performance suspension and an available power-bulge aluminum hood. Hearkening back to the 1971 Dodge Demon while also adding a few modern components, the Redeye is perfect for any auto enthusiast who wants supercar performance without spending six figures. In short, the Redeye is an all-around excellent choice for a muscle car.
