Chrysler’s experiment with making SRT its own brand might be over, but don’t worry, that doesn’t mean the Viper is going anywhere. In fact, Chrysler simply returned it to the Dodge brand, making it the Dodge Viper SRT. Now, they also have a plan to make a 2015 Viper SRT convertible, which should hit the market sometime in the middle of next year.
Some details about the 2015 Viper SRT have emerged recently as well, particularly details about the car’s engine, capability and efficiency. The new car will have a total of 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque, making it rather incredible that it still manages to get an EPA-Estimated 20 mpg on the highway.
The new convertible version will come out at the same time as the upgraded Viper SRT next year, a double whammy of awesome for muscle car enthusiasts. Come see us at Withnell Dodge today to check out the current Viper and start making your wish list for the updated Viper SRT as well. We can’t wait to see you!
