Marking the Dodge 100 Year Anniversary: A Long History of Success

Using one of the biggest stages in the industry, Chrysler recently marked the Dodge 100 Year Anniversary milestone during Super Bowl XLIX. With more than 100 million viewers watching, we’d say it was a successful celebration.

If you caught the Super Bowl then you probably saw the iconic “Wisdom” ad that celebrates Dodge’s 100 year heritage. According to Chrysler, Dodge is one of the few American automakers to ever achieve this milestone.

“Dodge is our first U.S. brand to reach this milestone,” said Oliver Francois, Chief Marketing Officer. “What better way to share this event with the more than 100 million people watching the Super Bowl telecast than to air two entertaining and successful online hits, ‘The FIAT 500X Blue Pill’ and ‘Wisdom,’ on broadcast television for the first time.”

In the 60-second “Wisdom” video, 11 centenarians (100-year old individuals) give viewers advice for living life to the fullest. One our favorites is: “Hesitate and you lose…Put your pedal to the metal,” very appropriate for Dodge. It’s hard to ignore this kind of advice.
